FR OM THE CREA TIVE TEAM
I wanted to celebrate Jamaica because of how much I
love it. I wanted to extol the virtues of Jamaica because
I had left it. And I wanted other people to know how
wonderful Jamaica is.
People expressed how much my images connected
with them and how special they were. I don’t necessarily
see myself as the best photographer, but I certainly feel
as though what I share about Jamaica feels like the
truth.

Photo-Artist, Author
It is important to showcase the places that go unseen or
‘un-thought-of’ as beautiful. A few of the places we capture,
to some, are no longer in their glory days. Whether with
a camera or paints, my contributions show the beauty
they still possess today. The fine art pieces bring a new
dimension to the project.

Photographer, Fine Artist
This project is special because it presents a visual narrative
of Jamaica beyond the stereotype. It has captured and
portrayed the historical and contemporary diversity of the
people and places on our beloved island. Coordinating
the project has been awe-inspiring. When you think
you have seen or experienced all that there is, Jamaica
continues to offer up even more of her beauty, heritage
and culture, and it has been a privilege and an honour
documenting this to share with the rest of the world.
